HELP OUT!
Filmfeline believes it’s important to help those in need.
The following contact are people who can always use your help with transport. Please volunteer your time if you are able to do so. In some states, they kill shelter animals with electrical sticks. 98% of cats are almost always euthanized. Can you imagine being a lost pet and your only salvatin is a kill shelter? All because your owner did not place a proper ID tag on your neck or you just got lost. If you love animals, educate those around you to spay, neuter and ID their pets.
If you are an organization – fill out paperwork to get pets trasported to you. If you’re a trasport volunteer contact the email LORRIC143@AOL.COM
If you have never taken dogs/cats from us before, Please fill out our rescue application! http://www.bequizzed.com/bgpets/rescue_app.php

Contact: Traci Richard Subject: Diamond and Georgia have
been KENNELED for over a year. Please help! These two sweethearts need a home. They are only 1.5 years old and been boarded for over a year! If they could be adopted together it would be wonderfull. They are from a very good rescue in Columbia South Carolina called Fido. Charlotte Ramsey the President of FIDO has paid to board these dogs for ONE YEAR. She has had no luck placing them in Columbia, South Carolina. She is willing to let them go to a qualified rescue in the North East. All medical has been done and she will pay to have them transported! These girls have been BOARDED for over a year. hishouse02@aol.com wrote: GEORGIA AND DIAMOND are Boxer/Black Lab mix spayed females, one and a half years old. They were very tearfully released to us by a lady, who had owned them since they were 5 weeks old. They show no evidence of being mistreated, they are very kissy and loving and housebroken. They are about 40 lbs each, been on heartworm preventive and frontline since we have had them. We do not have a facility. There are no open foster homes for them, therefore, they have had to be boarded at one of the boarding kennels in West Columbia for well over a year now. An application is required and with hope, a good rescue or a decent loving home can finally come their way. Charlotte Ramsey, President, FIDO DOG RESCUE IN COLUMBIA, S. C.

IMPORTANT PLEASE HELP! STOP NY OC SHERIFF FROM KILLING K-9 OFFICER
Hunter is a 7 year old German Shepherd. He has been a member of the Orange County (New York) Sheriff’s Office K-9 since 2003. At the age of 5, Hunter was taken away from his first handler and given to his second handler. During the transition, Hunter experienced emotional trauma and was taken to his veterinarian who recommended neutering and a canine behaviorist/psychologist. Now Hunter has developed a bond with his new handler and has found happiness in his new home.

In April of 2009, Hunter was diagnosed with progressive heart disease. He has served his department faithfully for 6 years. His K-9 handler is moving on to another police department and requested Hunter be retired to live as a pet for the remainder of his life.
After being refused, the handler offered to pay for a new police dog at FULL COST. The Sherrif’s Office still plans on taking Hunter away from his current handler and placing him through the police academy for the THIRD TIME. It is unfortunate that Hunter is being used as a pawn as a way for the Office to make an example of, and get their retribution toward, the current handler as he leaves. Hunter is going to be forced out of a loving home in order to be worked to death by the Orange County Sherrifs office. Average age of normal retirement for a working dog is between 8-9 years old. In the past, this Sherrif’s department fired a K-9 Deputy and allowed the person to keep his 3 year old healthy working dog. CALL or FAX Sheriff’s Office: Phone: (845) 291-4033 Fax: (845) 294-1590 You can also use the contact email form at http://www.orangecountygov.com/org Be sure to head your message to County Executive Edward Diana, Sheriff Carl E. DuBois, and Undersheriff Kenneth T. Jones.
Bullet’s owner shot him in the head. Why? Because Bullet chewed up the owners stuffed toy
clown. A rescue group called S.T.I.C.K.S. wants to taking Bullet into their rescue and has a foster home for him, but needs money for transport. The group has taken in 4 seniors, not long ago and several hurt dogs over the last month. Bullet is now in Winnsboro SC Animal Control – this is a gassing facility. Enough donations for pull fees and transport can get him out. dac@globespeed.net is the pay pal address set up for donations and you may also link to site’s “donate” button to help.Time is of the essense! If you can help save his life, please do so. www.sticksorg.com/4info.html

PLEASE HELP THESE PUPPIES – THEIR TIME IS UP! CLIK HERE
Meet SPIKE – 3 year old Male German Shepherd. He is up to date on all shots, neutered, and micro chipped, a very sweet dog. Spike loves all people and
kids. He is excited to see other dogs, but learning to ignore them on walks, you’ll have to keep practicing this one. A home without other animals would be best, so Spike can be the star. He walks nicely on a leash, sits, stays and lays down on command. Clearly, a good dog. Adoption application is required with a reasonable fee – we rehome, not recycle. Remember these animal are yours for life, make a solid decision. Can you be Spike’s new home? Spike is located in Lake Luzerne, NY , but can certainly be driven to other areas. Julie’s second hero is Amanda, she also needs a home. I will never understand how these loving creatures stay good, their spirits have not been broken no matter the awful faith they have endured. Meet AMANDA - 3 year old pit. Amanda is very sweet and a fairly calm girl who enjoys walks and does very nicely on the leash. She listens well, is overall pretty easy going and she’s good with other dogs. Pref. a home with another male dog with similar calm energy would be wonderful for her. Amanda walks next to dogs barely even noticing them, walks past etc. Amanda is good with all people and kids. At this time, Amanda is located in Lake Luzerne, NY however, she can be transported. Adoption application and reasonable fee applies of course, we don’t just throw dogs out to anyone who wants them. People must be able to afford to have a family pet. For all three dogs above, contact Julie at: gooddogsday@aol.com

These good friends’ owner desperately needs help keeping the two buddies together.
Since 9/2/2009 they’ve been in a kennel. Please help two desperate pups by donating $5, $10 $20 to the email at the bottom of this post to help keep them in the kennel while their owner finds a new home. The two friends are Star and Sorcha. Star is a 2 year old jack russell/pit and Sorcha is a 2 year old pit bull. Both are in desperate need of a place to stay for a couple of weeks, but for now, they are at a kennel for $10 per night. Please help if you can, even $1 will help if more people make a donation. They are two dogs, who love each other very much. We all screw up sometimes, their owner did, but the dogs shouldn’t pay for his mistakes. They love each other and separating them will hurt them. Their owner says he’s willing to sleep outside to hold on to his dogs, he obviously cares about them very much. The kennel tested the dogs, they are healthy, well cared for. Julie is helping with her paypal for donation to: gooddogsday@aol.com (please note it’s for Star and Sorcha) UPDATE: I spoke to Julie today, she found a place for them that is a bit cheaper per night, she gave the paypal funds to that kennel, which has the pooches now at $8 per night. Julie was nice enough to drive the dogs down there. They are doing okay so far, their owner hasn’t stopped looking for a new place that allows dogs. This is his email: ogc1blackheart21@gmx.com If you know of affordable apartments in Staten Island that would allow these adorable pups, e-mail him to let him know, he can’t afford more than $450mo. Julie obviously makes every effort to help animals in need. Julie has a few dogs to place as well. Several pooches, who have been in a kennel for a while, need a good permanent home. If you are looking, or know of someone who is, please e-mail me at filmfelineadmin@gmail.com or e-mail Julie. A fee is necessary to weed out dog fighters and animal bunchers for laboratories. A contract needs to be in place stating you’ll keep in touch (e-mail and pics are fine) again the same reason, so we know the dog is alive and well. All animals must return if they are unwanted. The rescue groups Filmfeline helps out, are people she respects, that are responsible animal lovers. I check with the IRS to make sure a kennel is not a ‘hospice kennel’ that just collects cash, but eventually kills off the dogs. Many organizations do this, please be sure to always check them out before you donate. These pups need an owner that is good to them, please help.

Next stop – Cairo, EGYPT We have some needy creatures desperately seeking help all the way in Cairo, where kitties were once worshiped, they are now mistreated, neglected and scavenging the streets dying of hunger. Perhaps, some day Egyptians will realize that if they treat the Mau well, their nation will prosper, however, at this time they still don’t get it. Cats bring luck and good health. Adopt an Egyptian Mau or please help sponsor!
ABAR (on the left) and ENOS ( on the right) are just a few of the following kittens desperately in need of sponsorship or an adoption at the EMRO center in Cairo. $15 a month can help these kitties where they are, in Cairo, until they find a good home there. Every
living creature needs a permanent good home, if you have the means to travel to Cairo, adopt these beauties, if you can’t, please considering sponsoring them. The crisis is Egypt is very bad. They need your help. Filmfeline encourages readers with our soon to come travel page to consider visiting Cairo to adopt a real Egyptian Mau. These cats were considered divine by the ancient Egyptians. You’ll bring home a friend and a little luck with you as well! Click on the EMRO page and find many more Mau there. The great thing about sponsorship is that no animal has to die, if you sponsor a cat. All the information you need to know is here on their EMRO page. May 27, 2009 update – URGENT! APO box is needed in Cairo!EMRO often needs things shipped from overseas to Egypt, but due to complications with customs, it is simplest if we can gain access to someone’s APO box, affiliated with the American Embassy. If you have such a connection and are willing to help us bring in much needed supplies (e.g. kitten milk, pet cages, scratch posts etc.) through providing an address which such items can be sent to, please contact us at info@emaurescue.org.
TRANSPORT
You would love to adopt, but you can’t? There are other ways you can help. For example, you can either sponsor an animal at one of the no kill rescues listed bellow or you can join the transport team! Offer your services to drive for 30min-1hr in your own area, helping trasport puppies from kill shelters to no kill shelters in other states, doing your part to rescue lives. Just click here and contact the coordinator. She will check your background to make sure the puppies are in safe hands and you can join the transport staff! pleaserescue@hotmail.com
